MLB: Players Frequently Being Dropped Heading Into 2024

Kris Bryant looks to rebound heading into 2024, he’s a sneaky late round pickup in 20 player drafts.

Here are the players being dropped most frequently going into the 2024 baseball season. The only real surprise here is CJ Abrams and Cedric Mullins; think twice before departing from stolen base title contenders. I am still riding high on a rebound from Kris Bryant, and he is switching to first base this season indicating the Rockies are taking extended efforts to keep him healthy.

My top players to drop or avoid drafting are TJ Freidl, Jonathan India, Bo Naylor and Orlando Arcia – you want guys that either have outstanding speed or power; not Luis Arraez type producers. While Freidl and India may rack up some hits and have a solid BA, target players with higher fantasy value. Note that Arraez had mediocre fantasy value despite an excellent year – base hits do not add up in fantasy baseball. Target home run hitters or power hitters in consistent offenses.
